Vodnjan is a town in the southwest of Istria, 11.7 km from Pula, created on the traces of a prehistoric fort. Vodnjan was an important urban center in the past , and today this city is an interesting destination, especially for lovers of art and culture. Particularly interesting is the church of Saint Blaz which churchbell is the highest tower in Istria (62 m). There are preserved mummified bodies and relics in the church.
Two families of Vodnjan have developed agrotourism sites, so visit them, and try the native wine, olive oil or homemade specialties.
