Omisalj is located on the northwestern coast of the island, along the 3 km long bay. It was mentioned under this name for the first in 1153, so it is also considered the oldest settlement on the island. It has a rich cultural heritage and you shouldn't miss to see the local Lapidary (collection of stone monuments from the local history). In addition to the rich cultural and historical heritage, part of the offer includes hotels, pensions, camping, private accommodation, restaurants and taverns with a rich gastronomic offer. In August, during the feast of the Assumption "Stomorina" you can get acquainted with the customs of the place. Omisalj's Pesja beach has the Blue flag.
