Brela is situated on the Makarska Riviera, 15 km northwest of Makarska and 50 km south of Split, in the central Dalmatia. Brela has been known for decades as one of the most attractive destinations in Dalmatia.

The place is characteristic for it's cristal like sea and it's nice and dense pine wood very close to the beautiful beaches. Beside good bathing Brela offers all kind of various recreation; boccia, minigolf, table tennis, water sports. On the promenade Dugi rat there is the beach Punta Rata, 800 meters long, one of the most beautifull beaches on the Adriatic. It is the very first beach to get the Blue Flag – europoean award for the ecologism, which tells that this beach stands for very severe and numerous criteria for the beaches and marinas regarding their cleaness and the quality of the sea and the beach, condition of the area, swimmers sicurity and the educational and ecological awareness.

Not to mention that this beach was choosen by the end of 2004. to be between ten most beautifull beaches on the world according to the research of the world's famous magazine Forbes.
