Malinska is situated on the west side of the island. Entire region is called Dubasnica. Malinska was once an island port for the export of wood and a favorite tourist destination for the Viennese aristocracy. Today Malinska is one of the largest resorts of the island, famous for its beaches, developed hotel industry, and family tourism. You should visit the parish church of Saint Apollinaire and the monastery of the Franciscan Third Order, where there is a museum with a library and a collection of Glagolitic stone monuments of Porto, 3 km away from Malinska.
