Privlaka is a small coastal place in the vicinity of Zadar, 24 km in the north direction, more exactly between the ancient town of Nin and the island of Vir. You can relax and enjoy your vacation in the calm bay where Privlaka is situated. The village is ideal for bathing because of its nice large sandy beach. The vicinity of attractive excursion points, The Kornati National Park, and towns makes this location a good choice for those who like a more relaxed summer vacation.

The broader area of Privlaka was populated as early as the prehistoric times (Illyrian tumuli, Roman inscriptions). Besides some findings from neolithic and ancient times there, there are the ruins of Pre-Romanesque churches and the very well preserved Church of St. Vitus, dating from the 10th or 11th century. The medieval settlement was devastated by the Turks in 1570.
